Point Cook 3030
Window tinting across Point Cook 3030, one of Melbourne's largest master-planned suburbs and almost entirely built since 2000. Most homes here were built to current energy code, so the glazing is double-glazed or low-E coated.
That helps with heat transfer but does nothing for glare or UV, which is why so much of our Point Cook work is film on glass that's already technically efficient. Lots are tight, so privacy is the other half of the job.

Why choose us
Why Point Cook homeowners choose us
Most Point Cook homeowners get a salesperson for the measure, someone else they never speak to for the ordering, and a subcontractor they have never met for the install. When something goes wrong, each party points at the other.

Local knowledge
Point Cook up close
Point Cook housing stock
Point Cook is dominated by single and double-storey new estate homes built since the early 2000s across the Sanctuary Lakes, Saltwater Coast, Featherbrook and Stockland Boardwalk estates.
Lot sizes are smaller than the older outer western suburbs but the homes are larger, with most builds running to four bedrooms, two living areas, and a large open-plan kitchen-dining-living space at the rear opening to a small landscaped backyard.
Window-wise this means standard rectangular windows in the bedrooms, large picture windows or stacker doors across the rear, and floor-to-ceiling void windows above any double-height entry.
Aluminium black framing is the dominant glazing finish across the newer estates, which steers fabric choices toward neutrals rather than pure whites that go yellow next to black aluminium.
A small pocket of larger waterfront and golf-course-fronting homes runs through Sanctuary Lakes.
Sun and climate
Point Cook gets the full western Melbourne summer. North and west glazing on the Boardwalk side runs hot through January and February for most of the afternoon.
Most homes were built to current energy code so glazing is double-glazed or low-E coated, which helps thermally but does nothing for glare or UV.
Residential lots are tight enough that privacy is a real factor, particularly on the side elevations where neighbouring two-storey builds sit close.
Through winter the same glass that overheats in summer becomes a heat-loss path at night because the outer surface drops below dew point and wicks warmth out of the room.
Wind exposure is moderate; not as strong as Werribee or Tarneit, but stronger than the bayside suburbs to the east.
What works in Point Cook
North and west glazing on the Boardwalk side runs hot through January and February for most of the afternoon, and a solar film rated for the glass type is the fix.
That rating matters here more than in older suburbs: putting a standard absorbing film on a double-glazed unit can cause thermal stress and break the seal, so every window gets assessed before anything is quoted.
Where the glass is already low-E, the film we choose is about glare and UV rather than raw heat rejection, and we'll say so rather than sell you a number you won't feel.
On the privacy side, lots are tight enough that ground-floor bedrooms and bathrooms face a neighbour's wall or a side path, which is where frosted film goes.
Two-storey voids above the entry are common and are a good candidate for film precisely because they're hard to reach with anything mechanical.
On the ground
Common questions in Point Cook
Often yes, but for different reasons than you would expect. Double glazing reduces heat transfer; it doesn't stop glare or UV, and most owners notice both. The important part is that the film has to be rated for double-glazed units, because a standard absorbing film can cause thermal stress and break the seal. We check the glass before quoting.
Yes. The glass needs to be in, clean and accessible, and the film wants a short curing window afterwards. Tell us the handover date and we'll work back from it.
Yes. Void glazing is one of the better arguments for film, because it's the window nobody can reach once the scaffold is gone. We bring the access equipment as part of the job.
Yes. Trade rates are set per square metre of glass and stay consistent across developments, with no re-quoting each project.
